In No Hurry
I used to run everywhere, to see how far and how fast
Now I'm in no hurry to watch the years speed past
My eyesight dims, my hearing fades
A short walk is all I can endure
It's the slow things now I cherish, not the fast but the pure
Seeing the sun pull free of the horizon and watching it set again at night.
The sound of a frog in Springtime, or the song of a bird in flight.
I don’t care for the applauds of many or strive to reach a goal
The appreciation of a few is plenty and peace within my soul.
